I created Basically Historical as a means to share with friends and family what projects I have been working on in my spare time. As a busy mom and alterations specialist, I found myself drowning in bridal gowns and wished to have an outlet for personal creativity. Naturally, I joined my love of Regency Romance novels and sewing. Now I wear my historical clothing while I lecture, host book clubs and balls, and attend local events.
